Add Widgets

Melody Jaimon • August 25, 2025

Widgets are like the building blocks of your website. They’re the tools you use to add text, images, videos, buttons, and more. With widgets, you can control how your site looks and what it does. Once you know how to use them, you can make your site more fun, easy to use, and good-looking without needing to be a tech whiz.

Widget Library

  • All widgets live in the Widget Library.
  • To open it, click Widgets in the side panel.
  • You can scroll through categories or use the search bar at the top.

How to Add Widgets

There are three easy ways to add a widget:

1. From the Widget Library

  • Open the Widget Library.
  • Find your widget (search or scroll).
  • Drag and drop it where you want it on your site.
  • A blue box shows you where it will land.
  • Classic Editor: “Insert here” puts it in the same row, “Insert in new row” makes a new row, and “Insert in new column” makes a new column.
  • Editor 2.0: You can only drop widgets into existing columns.

2. From the Canvas

  • Right-click a widget and choose Add widget.
  • In Flex or Editor 2.0, click the + icon in the floating menu.
  • Pick one of the top widgets or click More widgets to see them all.

3. From the Media Panel (Editor 2.0 only)

  • Click Media in the side panel.
  • Find or upload an image, icon, or video.
  • Drag it to your site, and it automatically becomes a widget.

Editing Widgets

1. Content Editor (what shows inside the widget):

  • Right-click and choose Edit Content.
  • Or click the element and hit Edit Content in the floating menu.

2. Design Editor (how it looks):

  • Right-click and choose Edit Design.
  • Or click the element and hit Edit Design in the floating menu.
  • Change colours, fonts, spacing, layout, or pick how many items show.

Extra Features

  • Text styles change depending on desktop, tablet, or mobile so text is always readable.
  • Layout and style let you tweak colours, borders, backgrounds, size, corners, shadows, and spacing.

  • Buttons can be styled separately or match your theme buttons.
  • Animations (fade, slide, bounce, flip, etc.) can be added, but don’t overdo it or your site will look messy.
Animation settings: entrance trigger, fade-in animation, in-place direction, 1000ms duration, 0ms delay.
  • Fixed or pinned widgets keep things like buttons visible as you scroll.

  • Copy/Paste or Duplicate widgets if you want more of the same.
  • Hide on device if you only want certain widgets on mobile or desktop.
  • Anchor links let you send people to a specific spot on the page.
  • Delete a widget by right-clicking and selecting Delete.

Widgets are your best mate when building a site. They let you add, move, and style anything you need without coding. Learn where to find them, how to drop them in, and how to edit them, and you’ll have full control over how your website looks and works.
