Edit Image Slider and Photo Gallery Widgets on Mobile

The mobile version of the editor, similar to editing single image widgets, allows you to manage items in Image Sliders or a Photo Gallery. For each photo gallery or image slider image, you can add or remove image items as well as change the associated text and buttons.

Image Editing Menu

To open the image editing menu, tap on the image and select Edit from the pop-up menu that appears.

The window that appears allows you to work with any or all of the widgets' items.

Customise Single Images

Add Images

Open the Images Editing Menu and tap on the white plus icon or the + Image box to add an image to your photo gallery or image slider.

Tapping on either of these will open the image picker menu.

Edit Images

Tap on the thumbnail of the item you want to edit in the Images Editing Menu to edit the options of already existing items. Image, text, and button editing are all options for mobile device editing.

Replace Images

To replace an existing item in a photo gallery or image slider:

Tap on the thumbnail of the image you want to replace in the photo gallery or image slider editing menu.

The Image Picker appears, allowing you to select a replacement image for the old one. See Select and Add Images on Mobile for more information.

Change Alt Text

Alt text is an important property of your site's images that helps search engines recognise and process your site's image content.

To change the alt text for each image, do the following:

1. Tap on the alt text window in the Image Editing menu.
2. Enter, edit, replace, or delete the image's alt text.

Edit Photo Gallery or Image Slider Text

1. Navigate to the Title or Slider Caption field in the Image Editing menu.
2. Slide title and caption can be added, edited, or removed.
3. To hide or show the widget's title and caption, tap the eye icon next to the corresponding field.

Edit Photo Gallery or Image Slider Buttons

1. Tap the Button tab in the Image Editing menu.
2. Replace or edit the text on the button.
3. Tap on the eye icon next to the Button field to hide or unhide the button from the item.

Remove Images

Open the Image Editing menu and click Remove Item at the bottom of the image settings to remove the image and its associated text and button.

Manage Multiple Images

Reorder Images

To reorder images in a photo gallery or image slider, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Image Editing menu.
2. Long-press the image and drag the images into the desired order.

Delete Multiple Images

To delete multiple items at once:

1. Navigate to the Images Editing menu and select Manage:
2. Tap the x icon next to the images you want to delete.
3. Select Done.

The last item in the photo gallery cannot be deleted because this would result in an empty widget.
