Bulk Discount Pricing

Melody Jaimon • August 4, 2022

It is possible to give tiered pricing based on number levels for each product. For instance, a T-shirt costs $24.99, but if you purchase three, the price drops to $20.99 per item. It is a useful tool for retailers with a large inventory who wish to encourage customers to purchase additional things. Discount pricing are shown on the product details page of the storefront, and discounts are automatically applied whenever the amount in the shopping basket changes.

This feature also incorporates an algorithm that encourages customers to add additional goods in order to receive greater savings. You add some products to your shopping basket, and soon a notice informs you that you can save money by adding additional items. Such proposals are intelligent. If there is only one item in the shopping basket, Store will not suggest adding 10 more for a 3 percent discount. However, if there are already eight things in a bag, the opportunity to add two more and save will appear. Otherwise, if a discount is substantial, the proposal will come early on: "Add 7 more and receive an 80% discount!"

The objective is to display these ads at crucial periods when the likelihood that buyers would appreciate the discount and purchase additional things is greatest. This feature might inspire customers to make more purchases from your shop.

Set Bulk Discount Pricing

To access the options for bulk pricing:

  1. Click eCommerce on the left side, then click Manage Store.
  2. Click Catalogue, followed by Products.
  3. Click Edit Product next to the product for which you wish to add bulk discount price.
  4. Click the down arrow next to the Price to customise the Bulk discount pricing.
  5. Select Save.

If you employ options in your products, the combinations can have distinct prices and wholesale pricing, therefore the volume discount will not apply to the various combinations (but a few items of one combination will).
