Password Protected Pages
With password-protected pages, you can put a password on certain pages of your site that visitors will need to enter to see that page. Password-protected pages are helpful when some information is meant for a certain group of people, like when you want to limit access to a download page.
User logins and account management should not be confused with password-protected pages. Password-protected pages just add a single password for a single page, rather than various passwords for different users.
- Anchored pages cannot be password protected. To password guard, a page, ensure sure it is not attached to another page.
To create password-protected pages, do the following:
- Click Pages on the side panel.
- For each page, click the settings icon.
- Click Set Access.
- Click Password Protected and enter the password that visitors will need to enter in order to access the page. The password can be up to 100 characters long and can contain any characters.
- Click Save. This page is now password-protected. This password can be removed at any moment by choosing Open to Everyone.
Log Out
Clear the cache for the site or browser to log out. Even if the password for the page is changed, users who are already in will remain signed in until they clear their cache.
