Payment

Melody Jaimon • December 2, 2022

This information is intended for the native store.

Please keep in mind that this feature is currently in open beta and available to all existing Website Builder users.

As of now, the native store only accepts Stripe and PayPal as payment gateways.

Stripe

Connect Stripe

To link to Stripe:

  1. Go to eCommerce in the side panel, then click Store Management.
  2. Click the Set up payment gateways.
  3. Next to Stripe, click Connect Account.
  4. To log in and link your Stripe account, follow the on-screen steps.

If you have successfully linked your Stripe account, a green connected badge will appear in the Payment Gateway screen.

PayPal

Paypal is one of the most widely used payment systems in the world, with online sellers from almost every country using it. With the PayPal integration, you have the following options:

  • Express checkout. Shoppers are redirected to Paypal, where they must log in to their account and authorise the payment. When the payment is accepted, the shopper is redirected to your business. You can add express checkout if you already have Stripe set up.
  • Paypal advanced credit payments and express checkout. This option gives your shoppers the option of choosing between speedy checkout and advanced credit card payments. For advanced credit card payments, shoppers remain on your site during the checkout process and are not redirected to PayPal at any point. This enables you to personalise the entire checkout process. This method is only accessible in select countries and those who already have Business PayPal accounts.

Connect PayPal

To connect to PayPal, follow these steps:

  1. Go to eCommerce in the sidebar and click Store Management.
  2. Click Set up payment gateways.
  3. Select the PayPal method you want to use and then click Connect Account.
  4. Log in and link your PayPal account by following the on-screen prompts.

Once you successfully link your PayPal account, a green connected badge appears on the Payment Gateways screen.

Refunds

Currently, refunds must be issued using the Stripe Dashboard or Paypal. See Stripe’s Refund a Customer and PayPal’s Issue a Refund for further details. In the future, we want to provide the option to issue refunds straight from the store.
