Sell on Amazon

Melody Jaimon • August 24, 2022

Amazon is one of the best marketplaces in the world, and more than 180 million people visit it every month. You can list your products on Amazon right from your Store, which will increase the number of people who might buy from you and your sales.

When you sell on Amazon, you can use the Store Control Panel to keep track of your products and orders. If you sync the stock between the two services, you might be sure that no one will sell more than they should.

Note: Unfortunately, this is not supported anymore. In order to sell on Amazon, kindly utilise the Codisto LINQ App.

Ensure You Can Sell on Amazon

You can sell on Amazon.com if these things are true about your store:

  • The country for your store is set to USA.
  • You can find out by going to Settings > General > Store Profile > Company address in your Store Control Panel.
  • The store's currency is set to USD.
  • Since the prices on the Amazon US-Marketplace are shown in USD, you can only upload items from your store if your catalog is priced in USD. To change the currency, go to Settings > Regional Settings > Currency in your Store Control Panel.
  • The money in the store is set to USD.
  • Since the prices on the Amazon US-Marketplace are shown in USD, you can only upload items from your store if they are also priced in USD. In your Store Control Panel, go to Settings > Regional Settings > Currency to change the currency.
  • You do not sell handmade goods.

Process Orders from Amazon

When someone buys your product on Amazon, a new order will show up in your Store Control Panel. To see what orders you have, go to My Sales > Orders.

Go to your Store Control Panel > Other Channels > Amazon to see how well you are doing on Amazon. This page shows how many sales have been made and how many orders have come from Amazon.

On the Orders page, click Manage Orders to see a list of Amazon orders. Here you can see more information, like your Amazon order ID, the products you bought, your shipping address, and so on.

FAQs

  • Can I sell things on Amazon in other countries and currencies?

Yes, you can sell your products on other Amazon marketplaces in Canada, the UK, Germany, Italy, etc., when you use the Codisto LINQ app.

  • How much does selling on Amazon cost?

Make sure to use Codisto LINQ App. However, this is a separate paid plan. The cost will vary from $29 to $99+ a month. There is a  14-day trial for free!

On Amazon, you must pay $39.99 monthly for a Professional Seller account and other selling fees. Pricing on Amazon can give you more information.

  • Can I sell things I've made myself on Amazon?

Amazon has a separate place called Amazon Handmade, where you can buy and sell things made by hand. They don't let third-party companies add product listings. Instead, you have to add products directly from your Amazon account.

Consider these options if you want to sell handmade items on Amazon:

    • Try putting your handmade items in the right category on the regular Amazon marketplace. Prepare for the possibility that Amazon won't approve the upload.
    • Upload products to Amazon Handmade manually, without linking them to your store.
  • What happens when I link an Amazon account that already has listings?

Your Amazon account and your store account will be linked. That won't change anything about the listings you already have. They will still be in your Amazon account, but they won't be linked to the products in your store.

From your store, you can also make new listings. They will be added to your Amazon account, and your catalog can be updated to include these new listings.
