Audio Widgets

Melody Jaimon • January 31, 2023

The audio widget allows you to embed any SoundCloud or Mixcloud audio file or playlist directly to your site, allowing you to share songs, podcasts, concerts, audio tutorials, and other audio files on your site. Upload your audio file to one of these services, or use an existing public file, copy the link, and paste it into your website's audio widget.

To include the audio widget, follow these steps:

  1. Click Widgets in the left panel.
  2. Drag the widget into your site with your mouse.

See Add Widgets for more information on adding widgets to your site.

Content Editor

Right-click the widget and select Edit Content to open the content editor.

  1. Copy the link to an existing file or your own file on SoundCloud or Mixcloud.
  2. Copy and paste the Soundcloud or Mixcloud URL into the provided field.

Design Editor

To gain access to the design editor, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the widget and select Edit Design from the menu that appears.
  2. Mixcloud provides layout, thumbnail display, light/dark colour scheme, and sizing options.
  3. If you're using SoundCloud, you can customise the layout, play icon colour, and sizing.

SoundCloud and Mixcloud files have different layout options. Make sure to load all audio files on the same platform if you want to keep the designs consistent across all instances of audio widgets on your site.
