Google Calendar Widget

Melody Jaimon • January 20, 2023

By including the Google calendar widget on your site, you can keep site visitors up to date at a glance. It is an excellent way to keep visitors interested by displaying upcoming events, bookings, workshops, seminars, and other activities. The widget integrates a public Google calendar and can be customised just like any other widget.

  • Only public Google calendars are displayed by this widget.
  • If you added a calendar after connecting an account, it may not be visible in the calendar options. To see the account, disconnect and then reconnect it.
  • Multiday events are not displayed by the Google Calendar widget.

To include the widget:

  1. Click Widgets in the left panel.
  2. Drag the Google calendar widget into your website.

See
Add Widgets for more information on adding widgets to your site.

Content Editor

To access the content editor, follow these steps:

  1. Click Edit Content by right-clicking the widget.
  2. Click the Sign in with Google button. When you connect the account, you will see all public Google calendars associated with that account.
  3. Choose the public calendar to display and the day of the week to begin the calendar on.
  4. Go directly to the Google calendar to add or edit events.

Design Editor

To gain access to the design editor, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the widget and select Edit Design from the menu that appears.
  2. Click Calendar to change the style of the calendar sections. Change the following:
  3. Header—month & icon
  4. Days of the week
  5. All days
  6. Events
  7. Today
  8. Calendar direction
  9. Click Event Popup to change the style of the event popup that appears when you click an event in the calendar. On mobile, events are denoted by a dot.
