Connect Your Dynamic Page Widgets

After the creation of a Dynamic Page, the following step is to link your widgets and each element on the page to fields in the collection. See Connected Data for a list of supported widgets and data types.

You can only use the Video widget on Dynamic Pages. The Multi-location and Social widgets are only available in Connected Data.

To link a widget:

1. Right-click on the widget you wish to connect and choose Connect to Data with a
2. Choose the field from your collection through the drop-down menu (only relevant fields are shown).
3. Choose Done.

On the widget, the Connected Data icon appears to indicate that it is connected.

If you change a Dynamic Page to a regular page, all widgets will disconnect, forcing you to reconnect them if you decide to convert the page back to a Dynamic Page.

Change Collections

You can change the collection in Dynamic Page Settings. When you do this, page widgets will stay connected to field names and labels that are in both collections.

For example, if you have a collection with fields named name, address, and phone and then change to a collection with fields named address and phone, the widgets connected to the address and the phone will stay connected and show the data from the new collection, while the widget connected to name will be disconnected because it doesn't exist in the new collection.

Connect Custom Widgets

Custom widgets that support Connected Data can be linked as well. For any custom widget you wish to link for Dynamic Pages, make sure Enable binding to Connected Data is turned on.

Finally, add a List, Gallery, or Image Slider widget to your site so that people may browse the Dynamic Pages. See Add Lists to Display Dynamic Pages for further details.
